Brianna is an undergraduate student at the film school of Boston University with a focus in writing, directing, and film studies.

Simultaneously pursing a theatre arts minor at the College of Fine Arts, the work Brianna finds most apt to reveal the politics of the human condition lies at the intersection of theatre and cinema. Subtle expression found in independent films among the likes of Harold Pinter’s play-turned-film The Homecoming (1973) and John Cassavetes’ Faces (1968) are representative of how theatrical approaches in filmmaking can enhance and use this expression as an informative device in the art form.

As a first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants, she values introspective excavation of her own unique experiences that could interchangeably be applied to several marginalized communities that the mainstream fails to explore.
